The 2010 Tour of Pembrokeshire
One of the UK cycling's most popular cyclosportives is set to be bigger and better than ever in 2010. This year the competition, which raise funds for the Wales Air Ambulance will start in the very centre of Saundersfoot and will offer participants a choice of three distances, 117 miles (189km), 82 miles ( 132km), and 63 miles (102km).
The event takes place on Sunday 13th June
The start and finish area will be The Regency Hall, Saundersfoot.
All facilities have been reserved and the community council and villagers are looking forward to welcoming the event and creating a friendly and lively atmosphere.
The main sponsor, Chevron, is very supportive of this development and hopes that 2010 will provide a unique experience for all participants.
Whilst many experienced riders take part in the competition, it also has huge appeal for the more novice rider. It is not only the chance to achieve something special but also to raise funds for a life-saving charity. In the nine years since Wales Air Ambulance was formed, the three helicopters have flown more than 12,000 missions throughout Wales. The charity depends on public donations to fund its workand needs to raise £5million per annum to sustain the service.
So if you fancy a challenge and want to help raise money for a life-saving charity and get fit in the process, please enter this event .
